Broiled Crappie Fillets

Ingredients:

  • Fresh crappie fillets
  • Butter or margarine
  • Salt and pepper
  • Seasoning of choice

Instructions:

Cut fillets into desired serving sizes. Brush broiler pan with vegetable, canola, or peanut oil to prevent sticking. Set over to broil (500 or above) and allow to preheat. place fillets on broiler pan and baste with melted margarine or butter. Sprinkle on salt, pepper, and any other spices as desired. Broil on first side for 2-3 minutes and then turn fillets over. Allow to broil for another 2-3 minutes, or until white and flaky. Be careful to not overcook or fillets can dry out severly.
